Andergrove Convenience Store Break In

Mackay detectives are investigating a break-in which occurred at a convenience store at Andergrove at around 3.45am on Sunday, October 14, Queensland Police say.

A stolen Toyota Landcruiser was used to drive into the side glass window of a store in Celeber Drive.

CCTV recovered from the store shows three people, all believed to be males, entering the business and stealing a large quantity of cigarettes.

As a result of a joint investigation by detectives from the Mackay CIB and Mackay CPIU, a 19-year-old Mackay man was arrested and charged with entering a premises and committing an indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and possession of cannabis and a utensil.

The man is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.

The Landcruiser was stolen from a house in Andergrove earlier the same morning.
