Central Goldfields Shire Council is reminding pet owners animal registrations are due by 10 April, 2021.

Council will be sending out animal registrations shortly and dog and cat owners can expect the registration renewal shortly.

Central Goldfields Shire Mayor Cr Chris Meddows-Taylor encouraged all pet owners to ensure their cats and dogs are registered and microchipped.

"Besides being a legal requirement, pet registration helps us check pet ownership, making it easier and faster for our rangers to return lost pets. Registration fees also help fund important animal services within the shire," he said.
