Townsville City Council’s Animal Shelter is not accepting any animals as it is closed due to flooded roads in the area.
Council is requesting any pet owners look to rehome their animals with friends or family until the wet weather subsides.
We ask residents to be proactive by keeping animals indoors and enclosed where possible.
