Antiques shop break-in at Glenelg, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in at a Glenelg antiques dealer this morning.

A nearby resident heard an alarm activate at the Anzac Highway, Glenelg store and a vehicle take off from the scene just before 5am on Tuesday 7 September and contacted police.

Officers found the front door of the store had been jemmied and two display cabinets smashed open. Jewellery was stolen from inside the cabinets.

The two suspects had left the store in a black Hilux ute or similar, doing a u-turn before heading east on Anzac Highway.

Anyone who saw this vehicle or any suspicious activity down the Bay this morning should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
