Anzac Day in Hume City

Anzac Day is next Tuesday 25 April.

Find out below, how you can commemorate Anzac Day locally and view the changes to our Council operating hours.

Local services

Anzac Day gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served in defence of our nation, and those who continue to serve today. Join us in honouring their contribution this Anzac Day by attending local commemoration services in Hume.

Sunbury services

There will be a 6am dawn service and a 10am service at the Sunbury War Memorial Cenotaph, hosted by the Sunbury RSL Sub Branch.

A march will begin at 9.50am from the Sunbury Post Office on Evans Street.

Craigieburn services

There will be a 6am dawn service and a 10am service at Craigieburn War Memorial in Craigieburn ANZAC Park, hosted by the Craigieburn War Memorial and Remembrance Committee Incorporated.

A short march around the park will begin at 9.55am.

Westmeadows service

There will be a 6am dawn service at the Westmeadows War Memorial hosted by the Tullapark Scouts.

Bulla service

There will be a 8.30am service at the Bulla War Memorial hosted by the Bulla Garden Club.

We thank the members of the Sunbury RSL Sub Branch, The Craigieburn War Memorial and Remembrance Committee Incorporated, the Tullapark Scouts and the Bulla Garden Club, for the organisation of these local events that provide our community with the opportunity to commemorate, remember, acknowledge and honour our veterans, those currently in service and the ANZAC spirit.
