Appeal after affray in Sydney's west 3 January

Police have released an image of a man and are appealing for information as investigations continue into an affray in a Western Sydney hotel last year.

About 7.50pm on Friday 30 September 2022, emergency services were called to a hotel on Mount Druitt Road, Mount Druitt, after reports of a brawl.

During the brawl, a 48-year-old woman attempted to leave the venue when a man threw a bar stool, striking her in the back of the head, causing a wound.

Officers attached to the Mount Druitt Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Three men – aged 35, 42 and 45 - were charged in relation to the brawl. They all remain before the courts.

As part of ongoing inquiries, police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist their investigation.

The man is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, large build, black hair with a rats tail wearing an orange hi-visibility fluorescent work shirt, blue work pants and brown work boots.

As inquiries continue, police urge anyone with information that may assist with the identification of the man to contact Mt Druitt Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
