Appeal after fail to stop pedestrian crash - Rossmore

Police are appealing for public assistance after a pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Sydney's south-west this morning.

About 12.30am (Monday 22 January 2024), emergency services were called to Bringelly Road, Rossmore, following reports a man had been located unconscious on the side of the road.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a seriously injured man at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene which was examined by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

As the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the crash, police have released CCTV footage of two vehicles believed to have been in the area around the time of the crash.

The vehicles depicted as a light-coloured sedan/SUV and a dark coloured dual cab utility with a tray back, distinctive lights on its running boards and a roof platform.
