Police are appealing for information from the public following multiple suspicious fires in Sydney's west.
Since July 2025, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command have been investigating multiple small fires in the Bidwill bushland area.
Bushfires negatively impact communities in a variety of ways including:
- Endangerment of property or life
- Cost of fire agencies attending
- Environmental impact
- Interference with land management practices
- Pollution – smoke, greenhouse emissions, visual
- Reduced amenity to recreational areas
There have been no reports of injuries or damage to property.
As inquiries continue police are appealing members of the public to remain alert as the weather warms up and contact 000 or crime stoppers if they see anything suspicious or if they have any footage of the offenders / offences
