Appeal after public place shooting at Bathurst

Police are appealing for information as they continue to investigate a drive-by-shooting in the state's central tablelands.

About 1.30am yesterday (Wednesday 7 September 2022), officers from Chifley Police District were called to Westbourne Drive, Llanarth, following reports of a shooting.

Officers have established that a number of shots were fired from a vehicle into a home.

No persons were home and there were no reports of any injuries.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.

As investigations continue, anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision from the area and its surrounds of a dark coloured hatchback, between 11pm on Tuesday (6 September 2022) and 3am yesterday (Wednesday 7 September 2022) is urged to contact Bathurst Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
