Appeal after violent assaults, Moreton and Sunshine Coast

Police are seeking urgent public assistance to locate a 38-year-old man who may be able to assist with investigations into two alleged violent offences committed in the Moreton and Sunshine Coast districts.

Kendall Arthur Poole (pictured below) is believed to be travelling with a 38-year-old woman (also pictured) and possibly camping in the Coochin Creek area.

Police wish to speak with Kendall Poole following the alleged serious assault of a 40-year-old man at Banksia Beach on February 19.

Emergency services attended an address on Beagle Avenue following reports of a disturbance at around 4.30pm. A 40-year-old man was located with a serious head injury after allegedly being punched and kicked by another man known to him.

He was transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police are investigating whether this incident is linked to another matter on February 20 where a group of teenagers were approached by a man and threatened with a machete at Coochin Creek.

Two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old woman were camping beside Hussey Creek when a boat with a man and woman unknown to them on board approached their site.

The man allegedly produced a machete and made threats towards the trio before striking one of the boys on the head, causing him to lose consciousness. The second boy also sustained a cut during the attack.

The man then approached a ute belonging to the teenagers and smashed a number of the vehicle's windows before slashing all four tyres.

The woman and man then fled the scene in the boat.

The three teenagers managed to travel in the damaged ute to a nearby service station for help. The two boys were treated in hospital for head and hand injuries.

Kendall Poole is described as Caucasian, around 188cm tall with dark brown hair in a "rat's tail" and brown eyes. The 38-year-old woman is described as Caucasian, around 163cm tall with brown eyes and brown hair, possibly dyed blonde.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the Poole or the woman, or know their whereabouts, not to approach them but call Triple 0.
