Appeal for dashcam after Monash crash

Detectives from Monash Crime Investigation Unit continue to investigate a serious crash which occurred on the Monash Freeway on Tuesday.

Officers have been told an allegedly stolen grey Mazda CX3 was seen travelling in the inbound lanes, near Warragul Road, about 3pm on 9 March.

The car veered across four lanes of traffic and crashed into a pole.

A 19-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital while a female occupant of the vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.

Investigators wish to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage.
