Appeal for driver of silver Toyota Hilux after fatal Mount Waverley collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for the driver of a silver Toyota Hilux to come forward following a fatal collision in Mount Waverley earlier this month.

It is believed the male driver of the Hilux stopped to assist at the scene of the fatal collision and left before providing his details to police.

Sadly the rider of a motorcycle, a 58-year-old Frankston man, died at the scene following a collision with a truck on Huntingdale Road between Estelle Street and Carrol Grove on Tuesday 6 September about 7.30am.

The 35-year-old Cranbourne West man, who was driving the truck, was interviewed by detectives and has been released pending further enquiries.

Investigators are urging the good Samaritan, along with any other witnesses, to come forward to assist with their investigation.
