Appeal for witness to come forward over indecent assaults in Pagewood

Detectives investigating a number of indecent assaults at a shopping centre in Sydney’s east over the weekend have released a CCTV image, appealing for a witness to come forward, NSW Police say.

Officers from Botany Bay Local Area Command are investigating a number of incidents which occurred on Saturday (30 September 2017) at a shopping centre in Pagewood, that investigators believe are linked.

As their inquiries continue, detectives have released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe is a witness and will be able to assist with their inquiries.

Between 10.30am and 11am on Saturday (30 September 2017), the woman depicted was at the shopping centre with a child when they were approached by a man.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, and aged in his 60s. At the time, he was wearing a royal blue suit, white collared shirt, a light blue tie, and a white fedora hat. He was wearing glasses and carrying a black satchel bag.

Police are appealing for the woman or any witnesses to come forward and contact detectives at Mascot Police Station (02) 8338 7484 or via Crime Stoppers.
