Appeal for witnesses – Serious traffic crash in Southport, QLD

Police are appealing for information from the public after a serious traffic crash in Southport last Saturday., Queensland Police say

Initial investigations suggest that around 11pm on February 25, a white Toyota Corolla was driving northbound on Olsen Avenue and attempted to turn right onto the Smith Street on ramp when it was struck by a white Toyota Starlet driving southbound on Olsen Avenue.

The impact caused both cars to leave the roadway and resulted in the Corolla becoming wedged between two poles.

Six people were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with various non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, has dash cam footage or who may able to assist with the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
