Around 11pm on January 20, a taxi attended a residence on College Court at North Mackay when the 31-year-old male driver was assaulted by a man.

The man repeatedly punched the driver in the head while trying to remove him from the vehicle.

He sustained facial injuries during the assault.

The man was described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, about 165cm tall with a muscular build and having a full sleeve tattoo on his left arm and a tattoo on his right forearm.
