Appeal to locate escapee in Goulburn

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a prisoner who escaped from a minimum-security correctional facility in Goulburn today, NSW Police say.

About 1.30pm (Friday 5 October 2018), officers from The Hume Police District were informed that Mark Tazelaar, 37, had escaped from the facility in Maud Street.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, of a medium build and with short light brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a green jumper and green pants.

It’s believed he may be heading towards the Narellan, Campbelltown, Rooty Hill and Blaxland areas.

Police are warning members of the public not to approach the man, but instead call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
