Appeal to locate missing girls - Cherrybrook

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate two missing girls from Sydney's north-west today.

Hayley and Nida, both aged 11, were last seen leaving a Cherrybrook primary school about 3pm (Friday 8 March 2019).

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command were notified about 4.30pm and despite a search of the area, the girls have not been located.

Police have been told the girls may have pre-arranged to travel to the city by public transport.

Serious concerns are held for their welfare due to their young age.

Hayley is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 150cm - 160cm tall, medium build, and with long blonde hair

Nida is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance with olive complexion, 150 cm tall, medium build, and with long black hair.

The girls are believed to have changed out of their uniforms and it is not known what they are currently wearing.

As inquiries continue, officers from Ryde Police Area Command are appealing for anyone who sees the girls or may be able to assist in locating them to come forward.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
