Applications Open for Wonthaggi Netball Pavilion Use

We're getting closer to the finish line on construction of the new Wonthaggi Netball Pavilion and now we're looking for a local group to help bring it to life.

Bass Coast Shire Council has opened Expressions of Interest for a community or sporting group to become one of the key users of the new pavilion, which is due for completion in May 2026.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a brand-new, modern facility and help shape how it's used by the community, making sure it's well used and delivering real value for Bass Coast.

We're looking for a group with ideas, energy and a strong connection to the local area. The group will encourage and organise programs and activities that get people involved and connected.

The pavilion has been designed as a shared space, so it's important that the successful group is open to working alongside others and helping create a welcoming environment for everyone.

What we're looking for

We'd love to hear from groups who:

  • Are community-focused and inclusive
  • Want to run programs, activities or events
  • Are keen to work collaboratively with other users
  • Can help make the pavilion a vibrant, well-used space

Key details

  • Location: Wonthaggi Netball Pavilion, 58 Korumburra Road
  • EOI closes: Wednesday 8 April 2026 at 2.00pm
  • Site briefing: Tuesday 24 March 2026 at 10.00am

The licence agreement will be for an initial three-year term, giving the successful group time to settle in and grow their presence at the pavilion.

Keen to get involved?

If your group has been looking for a space to grow or try something new, we'd love to hear from you.

You can find more information about the construction of the pavilion on Engage Bass Coast and submit your Expression of Interest through Council's eTendering portal: basscoast.etenderbox.com.au
