The Australian Government has reappointed Mike Mrdak AO as a non-executive Director of the NBN Co Board for a 3-year term starting on 1 October 2026.
Mr Mrdak was first appointed to the Board in October 2023. He has had an extensive career in the Australian Public Service, including working as Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development (2009-2017) and Secretary of the Department of Communications and the Arts (2017-2019).
He was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the Queen's Birthday 2016 honours list for his distinguished service to public administration in transport, logistics and infrastructure investment.
Mr Mrdak has significant directorship experience, including as current Chair of the Airport Development Group in the Northern Territory, Deputy Chair and Non-Executive Director of Western Sydney Airport Pty Ltd and a member of the Net Zero Economic Authority.
