Good afternoon Please find attached the EVC's Vehicle Sales Report for April 2026 to assist with reporting on total car sales.
Headline results:
- Tesla and Polestar delivered a combined 1,458 new vehicles* in April 2026, more than double the 702 sold in April 2025.
- Year-to-date sales for Tesla and Polestar have surged 47% compared with the same period last year, reaching a combined 9,185 vehicles.
- The Tesla Model Y was the top-selling vehicle overall in April with 822 units sold.
- New South Wales is leading the nation in EV growth in 2026, with year-to-date sales up 66% compared with January-April 2025.
* Please note that electric vehicle sales are recorded at the point of delivery, rather than when orders are made.
