Are we ageing well?

In the 2021 Census, 48 per cent of all residents here on the Mornington Peninsula were over the age of 50. This number is going to continue to rise so we have to ask ourselves are we ageing well?

We're inviting older people, caregivers, families, local businesses, clubs, groups, academics, and everyone in between to share your thoughts about what kind of community you want to live and age in. We need your local experiences of ageing.

View our Positive Ageing Strategy – our approach for ageing well on the Peninsula.

Join us at our Positive Ageing Community Summit at 10am – 1pm, on Thursday 24 November at the Peninsula Community Theatre, Mornington. Stay until 2pm and join our shared community lunch.

What will happen at the Summit?

We want to know how our Positive Ageing Strategy is travelling - are we on track? Are there any new emerging issues? What is working well and what needs more attention?

To help you provide your feedback we have guest speakers including the Commissioner for Senior Victorians, Mr Gerard Mansour, workshop facilitators and a chance to mingle over lunch with other local community members to have your say.

I want to contribute my voice!

If you want to use this opportunity to directly inform our Positive Ageing Strategy, then book your free tickets through our website and we'll see you there!
