Are you ready to Dine and Discover?

Murray River Council

Murray River Council is encouraging local businesses to register for the NSW Government's Dine and Discover NSW initiative.

The initiative will see NSW residents eligible for vouchers to spend at dining businesses, and on activities offered by arts and tourism businesses.

Local businesses must register with Services NSW to participate in the program and meet specific eligibility criteria including being registered as a COVID Safe business.

Mayor Chris Bilkey is encouraging businesses to register for this initiative.

"Locals and visitors are starting to get out-and-about again visiting our local venues, so I would urge all eligible businesses to register."

"The past year hasn't been easy for our hospitality industry. Temporary closures, then moving to takeaway and delivery, then operating at limited capacity; they've all had a sizeable impact."

"The Dine and Discover initiative is another step on the road to recovery, and we'd love to see as many eligible businesses as possible get on board," he said.

The voucher rollout means NSW residents over the age of 18 are eligible for 4 x $25 vouchers. They will be able to use 2 x $25 vouchers to spend at dining businesses, from Monday through to Thursday, and 2 x $25 vouchers to spend on activities with arts and tourism businesses, 7 days a week.

The voucher program is being put in place to encourage the community to get out and about, supporting dining, arts and tourism businesses and stimulating spending in the economy.

Business will be able to print and display shopfront badges and posters at their premises promoting to customers that they are a participating business.
