Armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Upper Coomera

Police are investigating after a luxury vehicle and handbag were stolen during the armed robbery of a woman at her Upper Coomera home this morning.

Preliminary investigations indicate that around 6.30am, two males wearing balaclavas attended an address on Memorial Drive in a matte black utility, where they gained entry through an unlocked door.

A 42-year-old female resident confronted the two men, who threatened her with a screwdriver and demanded her car keys.

The woman complied and the men then stole the woman's handbag which contained bank cards, personal identification and house keys, before fleeing the scene in the woman's white 2016 Jaguar XE sedan, bearing Queensland registration 311 XKK, and the utility they attended in.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Investigations continue.
