Armed Robbery Appeal At Moranbah

Police are investigating an armed robbery at Moranbah this morning, 17 October.

Initial information indicates that around 7am, a man has entered a tobacco store in Town Square Avenue allegedly armed with a knife.

The offender has then demanded cash from the shop assistant, before leaving the scene on foot with a quantity of cash.

The employee was not physically injured during the incident.

Police are appealing to witnesses, or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from between 6am and 8am on Town Square Avenue, Griffin Street, Batchelor Parade, and Belyando Avenue, to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
