Armed robbery appeal, Logan Central

Police have released vision of a man who may be able to assist with the on-going investigation into the alleged armed robbery of a 54-year-old woman at Logan Central in June last year.

It will be alleged that at around 4am on June 25, 2021, the 54-year-old was walking along Benz Street, having just left a licensed venue, when she was approached by a man and woman who were not known to her.

The woman demanded the 54-year-old's handbag. When the victim refused, the woman produced an electronic conductive device and held it against her arm whilst making further demands.

A short struggle ensued resulting in the woman stealing the handbag which contained a small amount of cash and personal belongings. The pair then fled on foot, northbound on Benz Street towards Wembley Road.

The 54-year-old did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

Detectives arrested a 27-year-old woman on November 26, 2021 and she was charged with armed robbery in company use personal violence. She appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 29, 2021.

Police are urging the man depicted, or anyone with information in relation to his identity, to contact them.
