Armed robbery charge, Brisbane City

Police have charged a girl following investigations into an armed robbery on Ann Street early yesterday morning, Queensland Police say.

At around 1am three people entered a convenience store, allegedly armed with a knife, hammer and scissors and demanded cash and cigarettes.

It will further be alleged the trio then fled towards Roma Street, with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

A 16-year-old girl was apprehended a short time later and has since been charged with one count of armed robbery.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
