Armed robbery, deprivation of liberty, Chambers Flat

A woman and four children were left traumatised after two armed  men broke into a Chambers Flat home overnight and threatened the group, before stealing cash and mobile phones, Queensland Police say.

Around 4am this morning the men, both armed with knives, broke into the home waking up the sleeping woman and children.

They tied the woman, and a 12-year-old boy up, whilst they conducted an untidy search of the home before fleeing with the stolen property.

The woman managed to free herself and police were notified.

The woman and the boy were not physically injured. Three other children –aged under 10- witnessed the robbery but were not physically injured.

Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for anyone in the vicinity of Chambers Flat Road around 4am this morning, who noticed anything suspicious, to contact police.
