Armed robbery in Boondall, QLD

Police are investigating after two men were robbed outside of an entertainment venue in Boondall this afternoon.

The men aged 66 and 65 had just exited their vehicles in the carpark of the venue on Melaleuca Drive when they noticed a Black Mazda BT-50 dual-cab travelling in the wrong direction on the ring road.

The men approached the vehicle as it stopped and the male passenger got out and produced what appeared to be a homemade firearm, demanding money and mobile phones.

The victims complied and the armed men fled the scene in the dual-cab with a sum of money and property.

Police have released CCTV images of a vehicle believed to be linked to the incident with false QLD registration 699VYH.

Members of the public are advised to call Triple 0 if they see this vehicle and not approach the occupants.

The male passenger of the Mazda is described as Caucasian, approximately 177cm tall with a medium build, aged between 25 and 35-years-old with dark hair. He was wearing a fluro shirt, black heavy boots or runners, a black baseball cap and a dark bandanna over his face with light grey or white logos in a pattern across it.

The male driver was also possibly Caucasian.

Investigations are continuing.
