Police are investigating after two men armed with weapons robbed a bakery at Upper Coomera in the early hours of this morning, Queensland Police say.
Around 1.50am two man armed with a mallet and a hammer entered the Old Coach Road business and made demands for money from an employee who was performing baking duties.
The 31 year-old male employee directed them to the counter area.
The men obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the premises and getting into a red coloured old style hatchback car.
No one was physically injured in the incident.
One of the men who was armed with a mallet is described as having a dark complexion, 177cm tall, proportionate build with brown eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head and a dark bandanna covering the lower part of his face.
The second man who was armed with a hammer is described as being Caucasian with a similar build as the first man and was wearing a white hoodie pulled over his head and a bandanna covering his face
Investigations are continuing.
