Joondalup Detectives have charged a 13 year old girl as a result of their investigation into an incident that occurred during a girls junior football match being held in Heathridge on Friday, 8 June 2018.
It is alleged during the match the offender assaulted a 15 year old girl who was a player for the opposing side, WA Police say.
The victim received serious facial and spinal injuries and had been referred to the Perth Children’s Hospital for ongoing treatment.
The 13 year old girl from Hocking has been charged with Grievous Bodily Harm and is due to appear before the Joondalup Children’s Court on 7 August 2018.
