Arrest after Mundaring fatal crash, WA

Major Crash Investigators have charged a 45-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a traffic crash that occurred in Mundaring on Sunday, 4 November 2018 in which a 55-year-old man died.

It will be alleged, about 10.55am the man was driving a Toyota Hilux towing a box trailer, in a south-easterly direction along Phillips Road when he commenced a right hand turn into Coppin Road, driving into the path of an oncoming black Yamaha motorcycle, WA Police say.

The 55-year-old male rider of the motorcycle, from Bayswater, received critical injuries and died a short time later in hospital.

The 45-year-old man from Mundaring has been charged with Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death.

He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on Friday, 7 December 2018.
