Arrest after several incidents in Rockingham area, WA

Rockingham Detectives arrested a 31 year old man yesterday (26 June 2018) as a result of their extensive investigation into several incidents that occurred in Rockingham and Success.

It is alleged around 3:30am on 23 May 2018, the man was involved in an incident on Val Street in Rockingham where a man in his 30s was assaulted and his car stolen, WA Police say.

Around 3pm on 29 May 2018, it is alleged the man stole items from a store in Waikiki and on 3 June 2018 stole items from a person and a car from Spencer Street in Bunbury. It is further alleged later that day, the man was driving the stolen car and was involved in an evade police incident before the car was abandoned in Cockburn.

It is also alleged around 11pm on 7 June 2018, the man stole a vehicle in Success and on 8 June the vehicle was used in a fuel drive off in Bertram.

The man of no fixed address has been charged with:-

•Four counts of Stealing;

•Three counts of Steal Motor Vehicle;

•One count of Aggravated Armed Robbery;

•One count of Armed Robbery; and

•One count of Give False Personal Details to Police.

He is due to appear before the Rockingham Magistrates Court today, 27 June 2018.
