Arrests following robbery and assault in St Kilda

Police have arrested three men and a woman following a robbery and assault in St Kilda this evening (30 August), Victoria Police say.

It is alleged a group were inside a Carlisle Street property when an alleged assault and robbery took place just after 5pm.

Two men and a woman are alleged to have assaulted the victim, a 25-year-old Merrigum man.

The victim, sustained facial injuries and lacerations to his arm and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One of the men fled the scene on foot with the victim’s property but returned a short time later and was subsequently arrested.

A man and woman were arrested at the scene along with a third man who was arrested for alleged drug possession.

All four are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
