On Wednesday 31 May 2017, as a result of information received from the community, Armadale Detectives executed three search warrants on homes in various suburbs.
A search warrant was executed on a home on Streatham Way Beckenham and it is alleged during a search of the home, officers located and seized approximately five kilos of fresh Cannabis head material; approximately $3700 in cash and 15 bottles of Methadone, WA Police say.
Further inquiries resulted in detectives executing a search warrant on a home in Martindale Avenue, Thornlie. The home had been converted to grow hydroponic Cannabis and it is alleged during the search police located 67 mature Cannabis plants.
Additional inquiries by detectives led to a third search warrant being executed on a home in Jacaranda Drive, Ballajura. This house had also been fully converted to grow Cannabis hydroponically. It is alleged during the search officers located and seized 88 Cannabis plants.
A 43 year old woman from Beckenham and a 47 year old man from Victoria are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, 1 June 2017 on the charges of:-
•Possess Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell/Supply;
•Cultivate Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell/Supply;
•Possess Stolen/Unlawfully Obtained Property ; and
•Fraudulent Appropriation of Power.
