Arrests - Pursuit - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested four people following a pursuit in Alice Springs.

Around 1:30pm on 16 December police received a report stating a stolen motor vehicle had been sighted in Larapinta and Alice Springs CBD. The vehicle was reported stolen following an unlawful entry on 15 December, Northern Territory Police say

Officers commenced a pursuit and a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on Bradshaw Drive.

The alleged offenders fled on foot and a police cordon was established. Four youths were apprehended in Larapinta and two are still outstanding.

The arrests coincide with Operation Cradle which includes a heightened police presence targeting youth crime during school holidays in Alice Springs.

The four youths, aged 12, 14, 15 and 14, have been charged with unlawful use of motor vehicle.
