Arson Investigate Tobacco Store Firembombing - Glenroy

Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad are investigating after a Glenroy tobacco store was targeted for the third time this morning.

Emergency services responded to the blaze at the tobacconist on Wheatsheaf Road about 5.40am.

Two men were captured on CCTV breaking the steel shutter of the store, before dousing the premises in liquid and setting it alight.

Nobody was physically injured during the incident but the inside of the premises sustained significant damage.

The two males then flee the scene in a vehicle waiting in the back car park.

The store has previously been targeted on 9 October, 2023 and 7 October, 2025.

Police will increase patrols in the area.

The investigation remains ongoing.
