Artists Invited To Create Welcoming Entrance For Hurstville Library

Georges River Council

Georges River Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from artists or teams of artists to design and install a new artwork inside the entrance of Hurstville Library.

This exciting opportunity will see the creation of a visually engaging and welcoming piece that reflects the diversity of our community and enhances the experience of library visitors. The artwork will be informed by community engagement. It will serve as a source of wayfinding, cultural representation, and connection.

Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said, "This project is a chance to celebrate our vibrant community through public art.

"Hurstville Library is a cherished hub for learning, creativity and connection in our community. This artwork will be a beautiful reflection of our shared identity and values, and I warmly encourage artists to submit concepts that celebrate the spirit of Georges River."
