Arts in Open is something to sing about

Arts in the Open will feature two City of Logan choirs.
Experience Arts in the Open outside Logan Art Gallery with Cath Mundy and Jay Turner from the Mundy-Turner duo.

Two City of Logan choirs will lead an afternoon of activities at Logan Art Gallery this
month.

Arts in the Open will be hosted by the gallery from noon to 3pm on Saturday, June 19.

It will be held on the lawn outside the gallery on the corner of Jacaranda Avenue and Wembley Rd, Logan Central and feature performances by the Freedom Train and Mixed Beans choirs.

Cath Mundy and Jay Turner from the Mundy-Turner duo will also perform.

Logan Artist's Association and Logan West Community Art Share Alliance Inc willoffer free art activities for all ages during the afternoon.

The afternoon is part of the Random Acts of Art project.

Random Acts of Art brings together the City of Logan's visual and performing artists to display their works or perform at a variety of events and venues across the city.

It is funded through the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

RADF is a partnership between Logan City Council and the Queensland Government to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

Those attending Arts in the Open are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and low chairs.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Logan Art Gallery will also be open with five fabulous exhibitions for people to view.

Entry is free.
