Ashurst advised 1&1 AG on the conclusion of an agreement with Vantage Towers AG for the rollout of its mobile network.
1&1 Mobilfunk GmbH, a subsidiary of 1&1 AG, has signed a long-term agreement with Vantage Towers AG, one of Europe's leading tower companies, for the provision of up to 5,000 antenna locations throughout Germany. As such, Vantage Towers will play a key role in providing the passive network infrastructure in the 1&1 mobile network. In addition, Vantage Towers will be responsible for installing 1&1's 5G high-performance antennas on its towers, thus supporting 1&1 to proceed with the launch and rollout of its 5G network.
