Global law firm Ashurst has advised McLaren Group on the sale and leaseback of its headquarters to Global Net Lease for a total consideration of £170 million.
The sale and leaseback of the campus, which includes the McLaren Technology Centre (MTC), the McLaren Production Centre and the McLaren Thought Leadership Centre, will see McLaren take a long-term lease on the site and continue to be headquartered at the 84-acre site in Woking, Surrey, UK.
The Ashurst team was led by real estate partner Sarah Sivyour, working closely with McLaren Group Legal Director and Company Secretary, Tim Murnane, and assisted by real estate associate Aoife Devlin, planning partner Claire Dutch, planning associate Olivia Barton, construction senior associate Matt Pearson, tax partner Nicholas Gardner and tax senior associate Sara Mardell.
