Ashurst Boosts Australian M&A Team with New Partner

Global law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Amelia Morgan as a partner in its Australian corporate practice. Amelia's arrival further enhances Ashurst's M&A offering in Australia and across the globe, as it continues to serve clients on their most important M&A deals.

Amelia is an experienced adviser on public and private M&A and corporate advisory matters and brings a reputation for technical excellence and client focus to the firm. Her client base includes large ASX-listed companies and private capital backed investors across the financial services, energy, consumer and technology sectors. She has played a key role in some of the largest and most significant Australian M&A deals in recent years, including being the lead partner for RACWA on its proposed A$1.35 billion general insurance partnership with IAG and for CBA on the sale of Commonwealth Private's personal advice business, as well as advising on Ampol's proposed A$1.1 billion acquisition of EG Australia and CSR's A$4.3 billion acquisition by Saint-Gobain.

Amelia is the co-editor of Bootmakers. Boards and Rogues, a major book on corporate and securities law, and has contributed to leading publications on takeovers and insider trading. She will join Ashurst from Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and will be based in Sydney.
