Global law firm Ashurst continues to advise San Joaquin County, as the groundbreaking of the $261 million BeWell Campus takes place.
The SJ BeWell Campus is a new behavioral health care facility that will expand access to care and strengthen the County's commitment to building a healthier future. The campus has been under development among County departments for more than two years and is located on 18.6 acres of County-owned land in French Camp near San Joaquin General Hospital.
The SJ BeWell Campus will feature two distinct areas, a South Campus and a North Campus, and will provide a full spectrum of behavioral health services, integrating mental health and substance use disorder treatment from outpatient care to residential treatment and crisis stabilization. The provision of this range of services in one location will allow individuals to seamless transition through various stages of recovery, from crisis intervention to long-term care and outpatient follow-up.
Ashurst has been advising the San Joaquin County on the development and implementation of the project since 2023. The Ashurst team is being led by Projects & Energy Transition partner Tristan Robinson, supported by associate Judy Hong.
