Asphalt Resurfacing Works - Tamar St Ballina

Ballina Shire Council advises motorists of upcoming asphalt resurfacing works on Tamar Street, Ballina.

Works will take place on Tamar Street between Martin Street and Norton Street on Friday 14 August 2026, from 7am to 5.30pm, weather permitting.

The resurfacing forms part of Council's ongoing road maintenance program, helping to maintain and improve the condition of the local road network.

Changed traffic conditions

During the works, motorists can expect temporary lane closures, detours and delays, with traffic control in place.

Temporary parking restrictions will also apply along the affected section of Tamar Street. Motorists are asked to avoid parking in the work area and allow extra travel time where possible.

Access to properties and businesses will be maintained where possible; however, short-term disruptions may occur while works are underway.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow all signage and directions from traffic controllers for the safety of road users and workers.
