Assault and torture charges in Kingston, QLD

Police have charged two men after a man reported to police that he allegedly had been held against his will and assaulted in Kingston, Queensland Police say.

A 25-year-old man attended the Beenleigh Police Station yesterday afternoon at 4.15pm and told officers that he had been assaulted and kept against his will at an address in Kingston for a number of months.

The man was transported to hospital for treatment of a number of lacerations and bruising.

Two men, a 20-year-old and a 23-year-old, both from Kingston, have been charged with one count each of torture and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

They are both due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
