Assault Appeal At Brighton

Police have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigations into an assault in Brighton on Friday, 20 February.

Investigations indicate about 7am a 53-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man were cycling together on the Ted Smout Memorial Pedestrian Bridge in Brighton when they were assaulted by an unknown man.

The 53-year-old woman sustained significant injuries and was transported to Redcliffe Hospital in a stable condition.

The 53-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was assessed at the scene.

The unknown man is Caucasian and was wearing a grey shirt, black shorts, a grey and black helmet and was riding a black pushbike.

Police are appealing to the man or anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
