Detectives from Petrie Child Protection and Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was assaulted at Morayfield yesterday, 2 February.
Reports were received at 2.45pm that two groups of people had become involved in an altercation on Oakey Flat Road near the intersection with Ridgegarden Drive.
Initial investigations indicate a number of people involved in the disturbance were armed with various items.
A 16-year-old boy received head injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment.
Anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the altercation or who may have seen a white Mitsubishi Triton dual cab in the area are urged to contact police.
