Assault Appeal At Townsville

Police investigating an assault in Townsville last night, 24 February, are appealing for witnesses.

Around 8.55pm, police were called to a street disturbance between a 60-year-old Pimlico man and a group of people on Ogden Street.

A physical altercation then occurred between the man and a 50-year-old Heatley man who was with the group.

The 60-year-old Pimlico man was taken to Townsville University Hospital with injuries to his head and face.

The 50-year-old Heatley man did not sustain any physical injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
