Assault charges in Mount Gravatt East, QLD

Police have charged a man after an alleged altercation in Mount Gravatt East early this morning in which a man was stabbed, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged two men, who are known to each other, were both at a residence in Camlet Street.

Around 6.15am the men became involved in a fight and a 36-year-old Mount Gravatt East man received two stab wounds to his bank and two to his left hand and left elbow.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandria Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 41-year-old Murarrie man has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm. He is due to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, October 2.
