Assault Investigation At St George

Police have release CCTV footage as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault of a man at a park in St George on 24 April.

Around 2.20pm the man was fishing at Cavanough Park, when he was approached from behind by a man who struck him over the head with an object, before leaving the scene.

A 21-year-old St George man received a number of head and facial lacerations and was treated at the scene before being transported to St George Hospital for treatment.

Police are wishing to speak to the driver of a silver Toyota Prado (pictured) that was observed in the area at the time of the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who has information, witnessed the incident or has relevant information, CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.

Investigations continue.
