A 31-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries following an incident in Wishart this morning.
Officers were called to an address along Boyana Street shortly after 7.00am following reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, they located a man, who allegedly fled on foot after hitting an officer in the face.
Police will allege the man attempted to break into a private property and steal a car before being taken into custody along Mount Capalaba Road a short time later.
Investigations are underway.
